That's a different kind of "delivery" than the USAF had hoped for. . . . ... it's also a trick that helped Boeing pass the 800 delivery mark in 2018 ...

Airbus is accounting the same way with the MRTTs. Well, even though the accounting method is acceptable I see some differences. One of them is that the USAF is demanding some improvements before accepting any KC 46 ... I don't think it's a coincidence that Boeing defense an space accepted ten deliveries in December - just in time to help Boeing commercial airplanes reach its minimum target.

hold up. everything i have read says the KC-46 are assembled on the same line as the 767 passenger version. now they deliver them to another arm of being. why do i get a " you've been had" feeling???
