Though Linie 9's conversion to modern art production is an interesting development, I love his first picture above. Some painters produced infinite variations from their favorite model - Linie 9 is doing just that with the A380 !

All shots of a plane in flight are panned(?) "Mitzieher" in German: you move the cam with the object and hope to stay perfectly on this object while exposure lasts to get a sharp picture of that object. I was wondering if you ever thought about creating long exposure shots of planes taking off. I tried to create a 30 minute long exposure shot from a hotel near LHR, to create plane tracks as they took off from the runway. I thought it would have made lovely picture. But somehow, I botched the settings, had too much stray light, and ended up with a horrible overexposed mess...and well, my equipment's just a bridge cam anyway. I love his first picture above. Some painters produced infinite variations from their favorite model - Linie 9 is doing just that with the A380 ! I would say it's one of the finest shots I've ever seen. The sky and the lighting is just surreal.

Btw: could you post your nightshot ideas in the photo-tips-thread in the techniques sub? I have some answers und something to show

I hear from inside Emirates that it was EDQ that had a gear issue on arrival in Dubai. Checking FlightAware it must have been on November 9, when she returned from Heathrow :
