Boeing and regulators are "doing the right thing" as they seek to end the grounding of the Boeing 737 Max, in the view of Ethiopian Airlines chief executive Tewolde Gabremariam.
Speaking to FlightGlobal at the Paris air show today, Gabremariam cited "good progress" on bringing the type back into service, but added that it was still "a work in progress".
"Now we have confidence in the process," he says. "Boeing is doing the right thing, the regulators are also doing the right thing. They are working together to make sure that all concerns from all regions are addressed. And the process is all-inclusive."
Asked about the prospect of bringing more Max aircraft into the Ethiopian fleet, Gabremariam simply replies: "We'll see."
