somehow, the caveat "if market supports it" although it makes perfect sense, feels like a fall back position. it is interesting to see how this develops though..this year would possibly be crucial to advancing those plans for increased production rates...lets see...

A slow rate of production has been among the CSeries plagues these last few years, so it's welcome news that Airbus is now able to ramp up production. Airbus however needs to increase both sales and production, achieve credible productivity gains and exert pressure on the contractors for price reductions. Only that way would the programme be turned around to success.
Hopefully, what we are seeing with year-end sales and early 2019 rate announcements is the beginning of a 'virtuous circle'.
