Delta incease own order to 90 a220: Delta exercise options for 15 a220-300 + conversion 35 a220 from -100 version to -300 version.
As Delta a220-300 will be in 130 seats configuration, they probably wants replace older a319 (132 seats in delta configuration) or 737-700 (124 seats).

ca350 , what made you expect it? I didn't see that coming! There were multiple rumors before the official order was announced. Delta signed 75+75 option when they first signed the A220 deal two years ago and with an airline that size, 75 doesn't look like enough for a narrowbody type.
