After today's msn 338 ferried to LDE for storage, there are total 8 a350-900 stored allocated to HU (4 was earlier to HX) in LDE, msn: 246, 251, 260, 285, 308, 323, 338 and 351. 4 further stayed in Toulouse, msn: 270, 283, 355 and 384. In my opinion Hainan Airlines will not take any of this 12 frames, as previously Hongkong Airlines did. Airbus with ALAFCO and CIT Leasing should find new customer for this frames for discount price. My understanding is, none of these frames belong to HNA Group any more (except 384 is not very clear). With HNA still in such deep financial difficulty, they won't touch any of these frames again.
Looking for new customers, really is the business of these leasing companies. I don't think Airbus would want to get involved, especially this may reduce the value of new A350 frames or potential new customer for Airbus. As far as Airbus concern, these frames all been fully paid by leasing companies.

Yes it's surely nothing to do with Airbus. I expect they regard these as 'good riddance' frames.

As far as Airbus concern, these frames all been fully paid by leasing companies. I think it's not that simple. Airbus knows that these frames must quickly find a customer ; until then, the lessor will be competing with Airbus. So, I think Airbus will cooperate with the lessor, using these readily available aircraft to lure a customer into a larger order.

curious to know how Airbus can work with them. I think they have a formal or informal joint marketing agreement allowing Airbus and lessor frames to be offered as a package to customers requesting quick deliveries.

The FG story sucks as usual. Only looking at the A350: they have four on order from ALAFCO (not even mentioned in that list) all stored at LDE. There are two on lease from Avolon (Airbus says CIT took them), msn 351 B-30DM and msn 355 B-30DP, also in LDE. And msn's 226 and 245 have nothing to do with Hainan anymore, they were returned to Avolon and leased to South African by AVOLON (not Hainan).

Today Hainan Airlines officially announced that they want to sell two A350-900, and the deadline for the transaction is set by 31st December 2022. Both aircraft were made in December 2018, so they must be MSN251 & 260. They are also looking for airlines that want to take over the lease on four more A350-900.
