As I understand the story, it's not Aer Lingus that decided to postpone A321 LR deliveries, the delay is Airbus'. We don't know yet whether the cause is engine shortage, ACF fuselage production issues or any other reason (see the 'A321 LR'thread).

All four A321 LR scheduled for a 2019 delivery are still being delivered this year, even though route opening is pushed back to next summer. Aircraft seem to be just a few months late.
