If it was a sizable order, then that would be such a ray of sunshine !

To me, it means 'I heard something, let's be on the lookout for more ...' Of course, we have been disappointed so many times that it's hard to believe in any optimistic statement.

French newspaper Les Echos reported on January 10 that Chinese president Xi Linping is said to have expressed interest in buying A350's and A380's, after signing of the MoU with Airbus for 184 A320's.

The Chinese President is interested in the A380, how nice.
Now all Airbus can hope for is that the Chinese airlines feel the same.

Chinese prospects to order of a380 Unsurprisingly, the A380 is deemed inadequate for China's home market. Surprisingly, nothing is said, however, about its possible use by Chinese airlines on international routes.
