Isn't it supposed to be done after painting? Maybe as it is the first aircraft, they decided to alter the order. Anyway, nice to see progress on the A350, can't wait for first flight!

According to what Airbus published.... Yes!
That order might be for series/customer production only, because the same goes for the cockpit furnishing (seats etc...). That should be done at station 20 too, but there are pictures dating back a couple of weeks which show the seats installed.

So they're playing peek-a-boo with us. But I expected MSN001 to follow its own sequence. It wouldn't sound right to roll out the first frame painted but incomplete without engines. Next up, the paintshop, and could the official unveiling take place in there? Just to recall the A380 official unveiling...

Wow, 700 MB??? I think I'm happy with the preview. The winglet looks complete now. This is what we had when it went to Station 18. It had a bit missing.

So, what do we think? Is she in the paint shop already and can we expect a glimpse next week? I sure hope so!

So, what do we think? Is she in the paint shop already and can we expect a glimpse next week? I sure hope so! Hopefully, according to airbus "MSN001 becomes essentially a ‘completed’ aircraft. Following the ongoing ground tests, other preparations and also painting in the coming weeks, MSN001 will then be handed over to the Airbus Flight Test team". Presumably, since they have installed the engines, Airbus has finished with station 18 ground tests and should have started the painting process. Considering that top Airbus executives are needed for the Mobile FAL groundbreaking on the 8th, If Airbus does an official rollout with the A350 in full colours it will either be in the next few days or at the earliest halfway through next week. Does anyone here know how long it takes to paint an A350 sized aircraft? Anyway, can't wait to see it in full colours and we'll see which comes first, a fully painted A350 of a fully painted BA A380.
