Thanks a380fanclub, that's weird and interesting, as their sole route is still KUL-LHR?....... Would they keep the 6 to charter a few here and there, and/or lease to some other airlines?....(BA?.....)..

My guess is they've had the first detailed planning sessions with EK, and have come up with a plan to utilize the extra frames very much like QF utilizes their fleet of A380s: Re-establishing the KUL-DXB route as a trunk where they will take over at least a couple of the 5 daily EK flights, connecting onwards to the rest of the EK network.

This is an interesting change of tone regarding the A380. I hope with their newly tied knots with EK, and with some improvement in the market perception, they see more potential to operate the whole fleet.
If MH is not selling A380s any more, how is BA going to procure used frames ? Could it be that BA offered such a low price that MH bowed out of the talks ? Is this negotiation tactics ?

BA could still try to use the first SQ frames if SQ decide to let them go....

Hi,
Someone on the Flyertalk Emirates Skywards forum posted that an MH frame has arrived in TLS for retrofit in order to be delivered to EK. They believed it was MSN214, but of course that frame is still in production in HAM for EK, so I assumed it was a typo. Has anyone else heard anything about this possibility?
