China Southern confirmed today to my question that the A380 to Amsterdam is for the Summer period only. Late 2015 the seasonal service to Sydney will be resumed.

If they do start this route (PEK-CTU), it would be another quite short flight for the A380 (2:30hrs). Demand should be sufficient, given that CZ currently operates ~13 daily flights on the route (using a mix of A320, A330 and B777 aircraft).

What might be further approving this, is the fact that June19 is the last date on which flight No CZ3192 (PEK-SXZ) is shown as operated by A380 on CZ's website.

Update 05/12/2014 Current A380-destinations served by CSN from CAN (CAN not included): 3 PEK--LAX--SXZ- Fabien This is somewhat misleading. SXZ is not served from CAN (that would be the shortest A380 route by far, barely longer than to fly from Gatwick to Stansted or Luton), but from PEK.

Will become 100th A380 route worldwide. Wow, how is that calculated? Is that "the 100th route ever served regularly for at least a certain amount of time" or does it mark the "first time 100 routes are served regularly at the same time"? I doubt the later because PEK-CTU seems to just replace PEK-SXZ.
