Another very nice pic of A7-APA taking off from LHR for the very first time on Oct 10th in a gorgeous afternoon light. Congrats to K West1 and thanks for sharing it A7-APA A380 137 LHR 10-Oct-14 by K West1, on Flickr

Sarah Edington took this pic of APA on Saturday. I noticed the lighter area in the middle of both wings. I have seen it on A380's that had their wing repairs, but MSN137 was the first with the new design. What can this be? Kind of condensation that gives this effect? I remember when I flew on BA XLEA in Sep 2013 and sat right over the wing, it had a brown area on top in the middle during flight. t.co/KFJdQD2V8s

More seriously, I went through some pictures of A7-APA to see if those areas were present on other pics where we get to see under the wings of this bird On the 3 first pics below by Linie 9 and spotterxfw, I only see that the bottom of the wings really reflect a lot of things including what is being directly under the bird flight path. On the 3rd pic by spotterxfw, the wheels even reflect on the wing. But on those pics taken prior to delivery, no specific area I would say However, on the 3 last pics which were taken On oct 141th and Oct 10th as Sarah Edington pic, I would say that 2 two areas you mentioned are also present even on the last one. Now I know that it does not help a lot because I have no clue as to what it could be. a380.boards.net/post/24039a380.boards.net/post/35061A380 Qatar A7-APA by XFW-Spotter, on Flickr A7-APA by Ian Kirby, on Flickr A7-APA_2 by Ian Kirby, on Flickr A7-APA10102014LHR by tagsplanepics-lhr, on Flickr
