Unless I missed some piece of information, we still don't know why this frame was particurly slow in FAL (it was overtaken by several others). Was the timeline the airline's choice ? Was there some technical issue ? Was some special work performed in a flightline hangar? We may never know ...

The good thing is that MSN115 is already on the move, it looks like they are trying to recover some time

It's used for calibrating the magnetic compass -> compass swing

I believe Boeing calls it the "compass rose".
