The A320 story continues:
Wow! What a gorgeous bird! I can't wait to fly on it. I bet they are exciting to get on it.

Maybe when 320 neo is delivered Airbus is prepender to start a new Neo project, a330 or a380? Right now, they are talking about A330NEO. Hopefully they will be launch sometime this year or so. Hopefully Delta will order the A330neo and other airlines, as well. Let the speculation begin.

Has Airbus released a program schedule for the neo, like for the A350? Like roll out, FF, tests etc. If I remember all they've said is they're aiming for first flight in autumn.

That's be the biggest difference you'll notice compared to the current generation planes. Everything else is pretty much the same.

Well, I hope we'll all notice the sharklets, at least from the outside.

The target is Q4, although Tom Enders last month said it could be September.

The target is Q4, although Tom Enders last month said it could be September. ... And there is ongoing speculation that this timeline might be extremely conservative, and that Airbus' internal goal actually might be to overfly the Farnborough air show in July. This of course would be a similar pattern to the A350 first flight last summer, scheduled just in time for Le Bourget air show.

But I have to see it before I believe it The A350 and the "neo" are the two Airbusses I'm looking forward to the most Rumors on A.net are that the first bare engine is due in Toulouse "end of April" and the second "about a month later", this is without the nacelles, thrust reversers, etc... Lets say that installation takes untill end of May for both Engines, then they have just over a month to do all FTI calibration and ground tests, I think it will be too little time for Farnborough... but with these times I have to say that FF in September is very long for a "non-new aircraft"..... The 350 had it's engines in March and was flying in June....

320neo and brand new 350 is a different story - they produce 320 in quantities - and this is only sort of refit-upgrade - it is not a basically new plane - I believe it is possible.
