It would be for a long study just my guess: NRT I think that guess might be correct. I tried the following on fr24 (total of three times since last night): first set a filter to only show B787s, then add another filter for an Airport. The total number in the second setting was about 20% of the number in the first setting if the airport chosen was NRT. No other Airport that came to (my) mind came close to that number (I tried LHR, LAX, IAH, MEX, DEL, HKG).

I'm realising now indeed NRT would make sense, with both ANA and JAL operating from there... I just also found this page airlineroute.net/2014/01/04/787/ and as I counted the different cities worldwide, the cities that appear most in this list (I think regardless of the number of flights weekly) are: HND (24) DEL (19) NRT (17) DOH (16) PEK (14) ADD (13) LHR (10) LGW (10) ARN (09) BRU (08) WAW (08) thanks s543 and bvb09!! Well it is one number again telling something but without any conclusion, because there is a route and no information if it is 3x daily or 1x weekly - in your list same weight.
What I was doing (and BVB09) is counting planes in the air - and here the result was in favor of NRT by big margin, HND was second, than was IAH a LHR. There is high on the list BRU - but only due to jetairfly going once a week - if so often, on the other hand there is 4x daily NRT LAX i.e. 28x times so many movements...
The question is what we are looking for ? How many routes or how many movements ?

Most scheduled services, so you're totally right in fact, we should include the frequencies in it... Fabien

Where is Hainan Airlines operating it's 787's.
Looking at FR24 now I only see two in the air: from PEK to CAN and ORD. Where are the other four aircraft? Also the ORD service will be reduced to three weekly (from four weekly). On a side note: this makes me wonder even more if they will take the A380's previously designated for Hong kong Airlines.....
