I have been told today that MSN2 will join the Aeroscopia Museum at the end of the year or early 2016.

I have been told today that MSN2 will join the Aeroscopia Museum at the end of the year or early 2016. Airbus going to take an inventory write down since the frame is no longer for sale to a flying customer?

We don't know the present book value, but it may not be a problem for Airbus.

In general, airlines enjoy a lot of flexibility as far as depreciation rules are concerned. There are probably very different policies.

It is not actually regulated, but a too short depreciation time might be challenged by tax control services.
