Wow! Such a coincidence! I talked about it only yesterday in this thread: a380.boards.net/post/5091/thread. What if they could bring it to the PAS? By the way the title needs a small correction: it is Super Guppy.

This aircraft just makes me think of the next generation super transportation a/c for Airbus..maybe an A330 or A340 with big stomach?

This aircraft just makes me think of the next generation super transportation a/c for Airbus..maybe an A330 or A340 with big stomach? There are plenty of rumours around that the next generation beluga will be a derivative of the A330-200 with an EIS after 2020. Personally, I wish for an A340-600 beluga, although it's very unlikely.

Hahaha, me too! Unfortunately Broughton is the limiting factor in this story AFAIK the A330-200 is the only one that can land there....

They should extend the runway at Broughton. Pave the way (no pun intended) for heavier infrastructure!

True, but first up for LHR is allowing mixed mode runway use - i.e. allowing take off and landings from the same runway. Should boost capacity by ~10%
