By the way: I have just joined doubledecker.boards.net as a new member, but have followed you all for a while. Great source of information. I (Richard) also run www.facebook.com/A380fanclubLelystad and a380fanclub on Twitter, sometimes using but always quoting pictures from doubledeckers. Richard, I decide what happens to my pictures. Just copy and use without asking permission is an absolut NoGo and a violation of copyright law. You better delete them immediately.

Hello Linie9, Sorry to disturb an annoy you with my remark that I have used pictures from doubledecker.boards. I should have asked you permission for using the picture of MSN095 last Friday, for which I appologize not having done that since I joined doubledecker.boards only today. I hope you will give me permission. I would like to add that using pictures is in violation of copyright law if this was done without identifying the maker, as happens more than often on the internet and social media. This also happened to your picture on Twitter, having been copied by others. To prevent problems I always try to identify the photographer and credit the picture to him or her. Many of the pictures on A380fanclub on Facebook are mine or associated friends and can also be found when checking Google-pictures for the A380. It is ok with me if someone else uses these pictures, crediting the maker. Richard

I hope you will give me permission. It doesn't work the way you think it is correct. We are playing my (und the right) rules. Step #1 (see above) delete the pictures. Immediatly - that's the chance I give you. If this isn't done until tomorrow, my lawyer will get the case. And that would be extremly costly for you - ask Fabien, he knows how angry I can react on stealing my picts.

Ok Linie9, I will delete your picture, as I don't like lawyers. But I suggest that doubledeckker.boards.net technically makes it unable to copy/paste any pictures in the future, so that stealing becomes indeed impossible. Until that's done, anyone over the world will be able to use the pictures and you won't be any the wiser. At least I have credited the picture to you. As copying without permission is a no-go for you, then what are the conditions that you would accept using your pictures to be published elsewhere but doubledecker.boards.net? Richard

As copying without permission is a no-go for you, then what are the conditions that you would accept using your pictures to be published elsewhere but doubledecker.boards.net? Richard Just to make things clear: There are NO pictures you are allowed to copy! YOU MUST NOT USE PICTURES if the owner doesn't know about it. YOU MUST NOT USE COPIED PICTURES WITHOUT PERMISSION! NEVER! That will cost you thousands of Euros In your case multiply it by ten or more on your collection of stolen pictures on facebook. I know some of the owners, shall I inform them? Your argumentation is ridiculously. You are a liar! You don't have any written permission for copying any pic. Show us! I bet 100 bucks cash, if I am wrong I would pay via PayPal immediatly. To make things more clear: You can get that permission for using for free OR YOU HAVE TO PAY FOR IT! Otherwise YOU grab the credits/hits just by copying and the the owner who invested money, time and skills doesn't get anything. That is his loss, not your's. That is a bloodsucker attitude - a freeloader. Short: it is a theft by you. If (!) you have that permission, the name of the owner has to be closest(!) to that picture - just look in any prints, online works too. They make it so. End of lesson. Knowing more: lots on the internet. I hate to explain basic things like these for thief-dummies who think everything is free. It steeles life time. Time I could have used for uppig and describing more A380 archive pics today.

I like to think we strive to be a friendly community. a380fanclub has been more than apologetic and deleted your pictures upon request. Just because he was not aware of the stipulations of copyright law does not mean that you should be angry with him. I was not aware of how copyright law worked when I first joined the forum and mistakenly posted a picture from Aviation Friends Hamburg with an image credit. Fabien kindly informed me of the rules without making me feel like a criminal. I just feel that a380fanclub deserves to be treated with the same respect. I am sure that he will not make the mistake again.

We should educate the person about the copyright law in friendy way and give him the chance to correct his mistake. If no response then we take it to the next step. Plus, we need new member to actively participate in our forum and feeling it as friendly place not hostile one.
