After years of trying to get rid of their 340-600s it seems that Thai Airways feel they are a better choice than their jumbos on the BKK-LHR circuit.
I just missed out flying on one last year, when they were being used on that route to cover the revamp of the jumbos.
The A380/A340 combination might be of particular financial benefit if it impacts on the EVA B777 LHR-BKK
