Just one time for me, last October from UBE to HND, was nice! EDIT: 10/10/12 NH698 UBE-HND 33K JA802A Extremely noisy though... I liked the window in the bathroom, the large windows, and the washing-water flow coming from inside the toilet lol... Fabien

Haven't flown on one yet. I'm yet to even make a sighting of the thing, lol. But, it'll change over the next year or so when YYZ starts playing host to those Air Canada 787s.

I liked the window in the bathroom I don't think it's a 787 thing. I've been aboard quite a few A330s and A340s that do have them too, going back several years. I think Qatar Airways was one of them. It's quite something to um...relieve yourself while having a wonderful view of the world below. (Aaah, bliss!)

It was a tad noisy, but incredibly smooth of a descent.

Extremely noisy though... I remember watching a video of an inaugural flight where a journalist took on board a hand held noise meter. They concluded that the noise level was comparable to that of the 777. Let me see if I can find that video for you.

Maybe not the right thread for this, but it surprises me that the 787 is apparently a lot louder than the A380.
I mean, if it is the same noise level as on a 777 I really call it loud...
Any idea how come Airbus got it right, and Boeing did not?
Personally I love the low noise level on the 380. I know some people seem to dislike it because you can hear other "noise" such as people chatting or snorring, but for me it is much more relaxing - easier to fall asleep as well.

Oups I just realised a mistake 'more than tHen', I'm afraid it is not changeable... I found the noise fairly high on the B787, it couldn't even hear what the flight attendants were announcing... Perhaps I was also influenced by the extremely low level on the A380, though my outbound flight just before 'HND-UBE' same day was on a B767-300, I can remember that noise was way higher on the B788 than the B763... I wonder if the 789 will feature any improvements on the noise front.

I just booked Vienna - Warschau - Toronto and back for Dec./Jan. Both transatlantic flights with LOTs Dreamliner.

I flew LHR to Toronto and back the end of September on BA. (ZBJA there, ZBJC back) I thought the interior reasonably quiet and liked the IFE. I thought the economy window seat was cramped (17.5 inches)with not a lot of elbow room and would not recommend. I flew economy plus on the way back overnight and the window seat (12K) was great (18.5 inches) well worth the extra cost. The main meals were better than I have had in the past and piping hot. Breakfast muffin though...Whats that about! JT
