Today in a week I'm flying for the first time in an Lufthansa A380 (FRA - SIN). So far, I have flown three times with Singapore Airlines A380: SIN - SYD, FRA - JFK, JFK - FRA. From Singapore I'm going further to Darwin/Australia (Jetstar Asia, A320). I'm extremely excited and delighted! I hope that there will be no problems in Germany. The Lufthansa pilots want to go on strike again! Wish me luck cheers TP Any trip report/pictures?

Our trip went from Darwin to Broome (and back). The Kimberlys are so beautiful! We traveled with a so-called Troopy. This is a Toyota Land Cruiser with a roof tent, a perfect car for this area. We had two really interesting flights in Australia. From Broome via the Cape Leveque peninsula and the Buccaneer Archipelago to the Horizontal Waterfalls by Seaplane (Cessna Caravan Amphibian). Furthermore, we have booked a helicopter flight over the Bungle Bungle. Both flights were a terrific experience. As written above, we flew with Lufthansa from Frankfurt to Singapore; and back (D-AIMK Düsseldorf (brand new) and D-AIMF Zürich, my new Avatar). To my guess both flights were fully booked (90%). Amazingly, because the flights were on Monday and Thursday. What really has surprised me is, that after the landing in Frankfurt only about 40 people waiting at the baggage carousel. Nearly all the passengers were transit passengers! Pictures are not yet ready. cheers, TP

While not A380 related, just to try something new I've booked tickets on Garuda Indonesia's LGW-AMS flight(GA's tag on on the CGK-AMS-LGW route) the coming winter. Not often you can try widebody (777-300ER) on such short flights withing Europe
