Due to the blockade, QR lost 11% of its network and saw a 20% slump in revenues.

I wonder how BA has become short of planes - they do seem late to order so sounds like desirable tactics perhaps v strategy.

BA / IAG have A320/1neo's on order which have been delayed, BA could get their first NEO next month ? I think they also picked up some of Monarchs Gatwick slots, so new routes to open quickly !

Due to the blockade, QR lost 11% of its network and saw a 20% slump in revenues. I want to point out that Qatar is not facing any air or sea blocade. Aircraft and ships from all countries are free to fly or sail to or from Qatar, and the traffic actually is very important. By contrast, a blocade would be a situation in which enemies would threaten to sink any ship or down any aircraft flying or sailing to or from Qatar. We are very far from such a situation. What Qatar is facing is a ban from using some of its neighbours' air space and territorial waters.

According to a post in a Facebook Group A320-211, Air Canada, C-FDQQ (MSN 059) is the oldest A320 currently actively flying.
