What is your opinion? There seems to be really an issue with the frames. MSN170 2nd flight after CFF, but no movement since a month. MSN176 painted but not rolled out since 2 weeks. MSN182 waiting for transfer since weeks overtaken by several frames.

MSN182 waiting for transfer since weeks overtaken by several frames. I was thinking about this this morning (week off!). Reading through the Ethiad Destinations thread: MSN170 should be required for April delivery, but may be April to support May 1st (having gone March 1st to April 1st to May 1st) MSN176 arrived in XFW a day after MSN174 and was needed to support Sydney June 1st 6 times weekly (so May delivery) MSN182>MSN180 (oops) has been passed by a few frames now in tranferring to XFW - I do hope it will be this week but maybe MSN187 will overtake it too. I understand the thread correctly its needed from 26th July to support daily to Sydney (so July delivery) I may have totally misunderstood info to date but if I have understood schedule information then this may be a reason why Ethiad frames seem a little static as A6APA seems to be performing well...my only other thought is that there may be supply chain problems (possibly with the top end cabins as the Residence will be fairly bespoke manufacturing). Any which way I hope they crack on as I plan a trip to Oz in December & I want to fly A380 all the way (both ways)!

Not MSN182 but MSN180 Indeed we might base our guesses on the dates the new routes start (I usually do ) but this isn't in fact explaining why frames are delayed..... We know that MSN170(EY) would enter service early May so delivery might happen in April, but we don't know why that entry into service has been delayed a couple of times, as MSN170 is in a state that could lead us think it could have been delivered in February.......

Apperently EY bought the SK524 slot at LHR, which means it will be 4 times daily with an A380 from AUH to LHR in the future.

My source is an EY-employee who posted this information in a LHR spotting group on Facebook. About SK selling to TK: After starting a discussion on A.net as well, it was said that this was another slot that they sold.

SAS sold a morning slot pair to what is believed to be Etihad, plus a afternoon slot to Turkish

But he still says “We are very pleased with The Residence,” he said. However, he also mentioned that the airline will not be ordering anymore of the superjumbos"
