The BA Source reports that British Airways formally accepted A380 G-XLEF following a test flight from Toulouse this morning. (8th May) Surprised no news about it here....... JT May be a slight timing mistake referring to yesterday's flight. I have not seen any A380 activity from Toulouse today on FR24. Today is a public holiday in France so this could explain the little activity. Any way if BA has accepted the aircraft, this is good news and we should see it soon flying to BA Heathrow base. Probably by tomorrow one of our pair of eyes in Toulouse will confirm that BA # 6 is no longer wearing its test reg.

I have just played back FR24 from 7am UTC this morning and no flight. Either they are late reporting Tuesdays flight, or they are reporting in advance of a flight that has not taken place yet...... JT Many thanks Helios, I had not seen your post before writing this one.....

Could it be that the flight was yesterday, and formal acceptance by BA happened to-day ?

A bit strange the entry in BA source. Normally these announcements on that site are accompanied with the positioning flight details. I guess it means she has been accepted and just not delivered yet.

I have seen before of BAsource and EKsource that they don't seem to know the difference between acceptance and delivery. Or said made a first flight, which happened to have been weeks or even months earlier. Delivery of 151 was scheduled for next week. 149 also sat idle about a week since her CAF and before delivery.
