And probably the whole thing orchestred by Airbus?... That's an exaggeration, in my opinion ! Airbus definitely encourages AMEDEO and helps in many ways, and both companies partner in marketing and aircraft finance, but AMEDEO certainly has its own goals.

I believe the story is as follows: > Doric Group buys aircraft from airlines and lease them back > Check www.doric.com/Investments.4.0.html for the Doric Group portfolio > Doric Group wanted to place a speculative order, like other lessors like ALC and ILFC do > Irish law forbid the lessor from placing speculative orders > Doric Group CEO Mr Lapidus created Doric Lease Corp in Germany to avoid the Irish law > Doric Group shareholders did not wanted this new entity to use the name Doric > Doric Lease Corp was renamed to Amedeo with Mr Lapidus at the helm > No idea who became the new CEO of Doric Group As far as I know, Amedeo does not own any metal, they just have those 20 A380s on order. This is so confusing... According to the Amedeo website, the company is based in Ireland, not Germany: www.amedeo.aero/about/The imprint of the Doric GmbH (Doric Group?) website, however, lists Germany as base, not Ireland: www.doric.com/Imprint.9.0.htmlWouldn't that directly contradict your reasoning with the Irish law being the problem?

Amedeo's Mark Lapidus likes to talk to the media about his expansion plans. The litmus test for his credibility, however, is to come forward with a few lessees to operate the frames he has ordered ... If we hear nothing new in Farnborough, doubts will surface again.

Looks like Doric and Amedeo are not on friendly terms (to say the least)....... Statement

Amedeo obviously was created to "steal" some of Doric's business, even trying to use the same name to create confusion. No wonder that Doric is defending its pie ...

I'm slightly nervous about the direction in which this is going...

Airbus obviously supports Amedeo's effort to become an A380 lessor - they even agreed to undertake a common marketing drive, certainly because the lack of a lessor was a perceived commercial hindrance.
Again, I hope Airbus knows more about Amedeo's lessees than we do ...
