Has a delivery date been set yet? What is the first route this jet will fly?

What is the first route this jet will fly? Hard to say, not sure if even Emirates already know...

I understand it will be a static exhibit at the Berlin air show, and will be delivered direct to DXB after that.

Then, if I am correct, that was an exclusive for A380 boards and you heard it here first. We will find out soon enough.

That could explain why it's been so quiet for so long...

I don´t think they will need the frame now... Aren´t there Runway constructions in DXB causes less airtraffic?

BTW: Qatar announced to have no big (A380?) media events at ILA. Well, you never know. But I suspect they target Farnborough. EK would have a reason for Berlin: They want traffic rights to to fly to Berlin and visited the ILA with a A380 before as well. And ordered big time there.

In Low german it's called 'Schietwetter'. Just delete the first "e" and detect the similarities between our old language and English (sch=sh) I'll add that to tiny list of German vocabulary in case it comes in handy on my future travels... I wish I could find some time to learn some basic German since it's one of the more popular languages in Europe spoken in quite a few countries.
