I don´t think they will need the frame now... Aren´t there Runway constructions in DXB causes less airtraffic? Yes, but the reduction in flying is mainly on the A330/340 fleets. The A380s continue more or less unchanged.

Wouldn't it be wiser to slow deliveries a bit to have fewer aircraft on the ground ? What about 777s ? Will they all be immune from grounding ?

It makes sense to ground an A330 to allow a new A380 to use the limited number of slots available instead. The A380 carries 250 more people on each arrival or departure, minimising the reduction in seat capacity caused by the closure. Most of the 777 fleet are still flying, a few of the pre-ER fleet are parked during the closure. The complete B777F operation has moved to DWC, and will not return to DXB when the runway works are complete.

Has a delivery date been set yet? What is the first route this jet will fly? DXB-CDG becomes a triple daily A380 operation in June, requiring one more aircraft, and A380 flights to PER begin fairly soon. (Can't remember exactly when.)
