A re-engined 767 freighter may be a serious project, a passenger version is a joke. If Boeing is walking away from the NMA, then its only option is to improve the 787-8.

I was thinking about the 767 re-engining with 787 wings it makes nice looking plane so I found some template that I can use there not mine there made by Medavation and put together this rendering of what it may look like of freighter and passenger version. AFAIK the short wing on the 767 is on of the main advantages for that frame as a freighter. Less span takes up less space on the ramp.

Unfortunately, if the project is only a freighter, then it must be a low-cost development -> no new wing !
