Has Airbus said anything about delivery predictions at their press conference today? Haven't had the time to follow it Unless I missed something no. I think they're taking the same approach as they did for first flight; only give general bits of information to give greater room for change incase there are any small, minor delays

The production list doesn't show any EK MSN allocations in the near future. Either Leeham is wrong, or the production list in the ATDB is not correct. Could Leeham be correct and the ATDB not updated yet?... Maybe Emirates and Airbus agreed on some ahead delivery schedules for the A350, along with the 50 A380 order?... Fabien

Fabien I don't see any sources and personaly I think a first delivery in October is too early. Just my two cents....

from the Singapore Airlines A380 thread The link mentions that SQ's first A350 will now be delivered in 2016 instead of 2015. I wonder whether it's a typo or a change in schedule. If it is a change in schedule it will agree more with the production list on the production thread which has has a large gap in MSN numbers between its first and second delivery which may suggest that MSN8 will be delayed for an even longer period of time or have a new carrier assigned (if it is possible)

The info I have is that MSN8 will enter final assembly after MSN11 so it should be deliverable in 2015.

I think so. I find it hard to believe MSN8 would be sitting on the tarmac for another year.
Or maybe Airbus found another customer for MSN8, we should find out soon.

Well, Scott Hamilton doesn't disagree xith XWB. Here is an excerpt from the readers' comments.
QUOTE [xwb - FEBRUARY 24, 2014 @ 12:29 AM Nice article.
I’ve read MSN8 (SQ #1) will be loaded into the FAL after MSN11. Airbus build MSN’s out of sequence. Perhaps you can check this information with Airbus.
leehamnet FEBRUARY 24, 2014 @ 4:25 AM We think that could very well be. It would mean the first 5 series A350 (MSN6,7,9,10,11) would be all for Qatar before a new airline variant would enter the FAL, MSN008 for SQ. This would be sensible and would fit with the declarations from SQ that they will get their first A350 in 2015.]
