Storage in LDE, I wonder if Airbus took those frames back? -ERC which is msn485 is listed on Airbus's asset management website although I'm not sure if this is an indication of them owning the frame or helping EK to sell it. www.airbus.com/company/market/asset/aircraft-available/

Airbus many years ago delivered selling price guarantees to boost A346 (and most probably A345) sales. If EK enjoyed such a guarantee, and the market price was lower than promised, then Airbus had a choice of either paying the difference to EK or buying back the aircraft at the guaranteed price.

To sum up the article 4x A333 6x A346 4x 747-400 later 8x 747-400 from last year not sold yet 10x ? those might be some A300 + A333stored + A345 + 737-400 - all probably very HARD (or better to say impossible) to sell. Probably hard to achieve even those A333 - since they are MSN 50,60,62,64,65,66 so... I would not be surprised if most of those go to scrap, it would be pity for the A34x - since they are only 10 years old but is there someone ready to take those ?

Nice summary - unfortunately I agree. :-(

According to ATDB, first prototype of a340-300 msn 001 was transferred 23.02.2015 from TLS to LDE for storage. In total airbus has 3 prototypes stored in LDE: 2 first prototypes of A340 (A340-300 and A340-600) and second proyotype of a380 (msn 004).
