Perhaps an odd comment but I was thinking about what a certificate of airworthiness might mean. Airbus doesn't intend to apply for type certification for this aircraft, which is to be produced in five copies only. The certification process is therefore simplified, but I don't know much about it.

The certification process is therefore simplified, but I don't know much about it. They will get an restricted type certificate and restricted airworthiness certificate. As I learned the process was strongly changed in 2008, no limit on copies anymore.

F-WBXS, msn 1853, the second BelugaXL pops on flightradar24 at the flight-test line. Should be painted now, hopefully we will see some photos soon.

now we await flight testing...exciting days/ months ahead. I thought only the first Beluga XL is a test frame and the second the first production model, doing a few test flights and than to work.
