This means 18 convoys in the first half of the year ! Even with an August lull, the number is another indication that Airbus is quietly ramping up production over 30/year. It is 16 convoys the first half of the year. Sorry, you are right, I probably wanted it so much that I misread. That's more logical, though. |

It would be nice if it would have been 18 convoy's in the first half of this year. My perception is that convoy's # are the result of production rates. So if the production is increased we see it one year later in the # of convoy's and again one year after that in the # of frames Airbus will be able to deliver. If Airbus decided after the 50 frames Emirates order to increase production, I assume two years before we will be able to see it in delivery numbers. That would be increased # of convoy's in 2015 and than increased # of deliveries in 2016 at the earliest. I see a possibility of extra deliveries in 2014, because of inventory. In 2013 30 frames were produced and convoyed but only 25 delivered. That gives an extra inventory of 5 frames. |
