So, unlike the FALs, the paint workshop in TLS does not enjoy a summer pause ... Is this usual, or because the workshop had to close after the recent workplace accident ?

Sounds like a lot compared to other types? I think this is all relatively. Airxraft size doesn't matter so much. Ok to paint an A380 obviously takes longer than an A320, but what really matters is the complexity of the livery. I think if you painted an A380 in plain white it could easily take far shorter than if you painted an A320 in some crazy special livery with loads of different colours. So I think that it takes 2 weeks could be due to QR applying a special livery (I'm always up for surprises), but I guess this is very unlikely or next to impossible. On the other hand it could be because Airbus builds in a buffer if not all goes to plan due to not having painted many other A350s before. All just a lot of speculation though!

So two weeks are over now. Roll out should not be that far anymore.

Or maybe U turn Al has seen it, doesn't like it and told Ab to do it again. He reminds me of a victorian school teacher. Watch out Airbus, he's flexing his cane to give you a stern telling off.

MSN6 left the paint hangar today. It's now back in the C65 hangar for final touches and a photo shoot.
