Remind me not to fly on amedeo's A380s. Not only is economy 11 abreast, the premium economy on the upper deck is in the same 2-4-2 config as most upper deck economy layouts. Also, I wonder if the aircraft will have a crew rest area, I can't seem to see signs of one.

Regarding the 11-abreast on the main deck, the seats are still wider than a 10-abreast 777 and the middle seat is not different than the window seat (both are two seats away from the aisle). Regarding the upper deck, customers are free to install whatever premium product they want. Only the Y cabin cannot be changed. In the belly perhaps?

Except you don't get a nice view or a sidewall to lean on. If the flight is half empty though, a row of 5 seats will be a great place to sleep . Regarding the upper deck, customers are free to install whatever premium product they want. Only the Y cabin cannot be changed. I've been wondering whether airlines would be willing to take an aircraft with a fixed premium layout, that answers my question quite well. In the belly perhaps? But you can normally tell when there is a belly crew rest by a missing seat in the economy section.

Well, the above seat map is just an illustration. Customers can always install a crew rest area on the upper deck as only the main deck is fixed.
This discussion leads me to the following question: how many A380 operators have a crew rest area (the one behind the cockpit not included)? EK for sure, who else?

That works as for your question, Cargo Area; SQ, QF, AF, LH, KE, TG, BA, OZ, EY Main deck; EK (ULH) Upper Deck; CZ,MH Lufthansa doesn't have the missing seat however it appears that their crew rest is located in the forward cargo hold instead of the aft and I don't believe Qatar's seatmap has yet been released.
