You hope they take it or don't take it? Oops, lol. I've corrected it. Thanks for pointing it out.

As a constant flyer of window seats I most certainly agree!
and for those unlucky enough to get the middle seat.

Sitting in the very middle you better want to have some steel bladder. We are talking about long range configurations right? Or is this some dedicated mid range product?

Yes, I believe it is a long range config. In terms of getting out, it shouldn't be too different to a window seat since you're still two people away from the aisle, although of course with window seats you get a nice view and the space between the seat and the wall/window (which has been reduced to practically nothing in this config). I believe a few early airlines configured their 777s with a 2-5-2 layout with some airlines yet to change it to a more conventional 3-3-3 or 3-4-3.

Sitting in the very middle you better want to have some steel bladder. Actually, in that aspect, it should be better in the middle than being seated at the window. In both cases you are two seats from the aisle but in the case of the middle seat, you have the option of accessing the aisle from either side, depending on which one is easier.

Was this 11-abreast-configuration requested by any known customer? Didn't EK actually rule out to want eleven?
