Whether six weeks or three months, this is a small and unimportant delay.

It may have confirmed for some time. For past one month, AirAsia X was keep talking about find some A350/B777 to bring forward their return to Europe plan, instead of waiting for A330neo delivery in 2018.

Wasn't they anyway only scheduled to het their first in 2018. AFAIK only TAP was supposed to get a A330NEO in 2017 (december) And a 6 weeks delay cannot cause this (rumour)

What i mean is AirAsia X decided not to wait for it, could be due to commercial reason, could be due to potential delay in A330neo too. A330ceo can't fly to London, but using other type of aircraft mean AirAsia X can't interchange it with others route. As a budget airline, they are very resistant to add 2nd type of aircraft in their fleet, unless proven necessary/profitable. The rumour of delay is 6 weeks now but could be more in the end, hopefully no.

Also good. Perhaps the first A338 prototype will be registered F-WTTE. Apparently that registration is now taken by the 2nd -900 prototype... Now I do remember reading somewhere that there would actually be just be 3 prototypes in total (2x -900 and 1x -800) even though XWB 's productionlist has 3x -900 and 2x -800 it makes sense looking at the A320neo which has 2x for the basemodel (A320) and 1x the varation model (A321, A319) I'm wandering off, but what I was trying to say. The last reg. (for the possibly only -800) might be F-WTTO, so the fleet spells F-WTT NF-WTT EF-WTT O
