Would you like to bet on the number of 787 deliveries in 2014 ? We can decide that guesses should be made before Boeing provides its 2014 guidance (probably later this month), and that the closest guess wins.
Even though Boeing claims that production is now at a pace of 10 per month, it is not an easy guess. I think we'll still see some fluctuations this year. We also must account for a few deliveries coming from the Everett modification center.
My own forecast : 90 deliveries !

The 787 output is not yet at 10 per month. Looking at the aircraft ready for delivery and the recent flight test activity, there will be 5-6 deliveries in January and another 5-6 in February. It seems Boeing will start delivering at 10 per month from March.
I think 90 deliveries (up from 65 in 2013) is a realistic figure.

This would include the -9 as well... I think it'd be really hard still to make an estimation, as issues perhaps groundings can still happen... I think my bet could be around 70, I'm afraid the -9 program/deliveries could curb the -8 paces,... Fabien  |

There are said to be 119 A380-s delivered by end of 2013. What is the expected date of delivery of 119th B787, seeing it is now at 115? When is the delivery of 120th A380 planned? There seems to be 122 A380s delivered (2 for Emirates on December 19th, 2013). The next A380 for BA seems to be already accepted by the customer, so might be delivered in the next days. So 123rd A380 delivery will probably before the 123rd 787 delivery. So "overtaking" might be with 124th or 125th delivery. |
