Two Qatar A350-1000 officially cancelled on Airbus' book from Jan O&D. I wonder if those are 409/430 or later frames in the backlog. Do we know who will take them now?

As things are going right now, Airbus might need to find takers for the remaining QR backlog pretty soon.

The planemaker said in a UK court filing last month that it was declaring Qatar Airways in default on two A350 jets that were completed and ready to be delivered.
Airbus, which has two completed A350s ready for delivery to Qatar Airways, has said it has provided the necessary information on the problem of surface degradation and that the damage does not amount to a safety issue.

leehamnews.com/2022/02/18/cross-defaults-led-to-airbus-cancellation-of-qatar-a321neo-order/LNA is told that Qatar almost certainly suspended progress payments during the dispute. It was unknown if this was for the A321neos or A350s or both. Qatar has said it was current on its obligations for the A321neos. But it also said in a court filing it wasn’t obligated to accept delivery of any more A350s due to the dispute. “Qatar also alleges that one consequence of the…alleged defect(s) in the A350 (which, as noted above, are denied) – is that Qatar is not obliged to accept delivery of new aircraft by virtue of clause 8 and/or clause 12 of the [purchase contract]. Airbus’ position is that this is wrong and that Qatar is in clear default of its contractual obligations in relation to two A350 aircraft that Airbus has tendered for delivery,” a London court wrote on Jan. 19.

All 53 QR a350 now will be grounded: Hmm, lets see if this comes true. For now, there are still 23 (according to FR24) QTR A350 in the air.
