Surprised no one mentioned this but our dear friend Al U-turn has firmed his order for 50 777-9Xs and purchase rights for an additional 50 aircraft I don't really understand, I think just a few days before he was saying that he wasn't in a hurry to firm the purchase??... This would look to me as a textmessage to Airbus (him being still very disappointed with the QR-A380 not being there?), it is also the first time I see pictures of him published this way and looking so happy about the pictures and the deal...... Don't want to keep being nasty but he really reminds me of our friend Borat, there's only the thumbs up missing......

He did the same last year : two days before signing the 777X MOU, he went on record saying he was not interested in the aircraft ...

Boeing updated their order overview Thursday reflecting firmed and identified orders from FIA. As seen a few of them weren't new orders but unknown orders that was identified
Firmed: ALC: 10 737, 6 77W CIT: 10 787-9 Intrepid: 6 77W MG Aviation: 2 787-9 Qatar: 50 777X UFO: 50 737 (maybe Hainan?)
Identified ALC: 10 737 Air Algerie: 2 737-700C Okay: 10 737
