Depending on the reason this delay doesn't have to be that critical, unless it means it is clogging up the system for the next frames. It is anyway not planned for delivery untill very late this year or early next year

There might have come some changes out of the flight-tests implemented i.e. the delay.
It could have been agreed with QR that first N frames are different ? But AB decided that it is only up to #7 ?

Checked again today, both station 50 halls are empty, MSN9 is still not in final assembly.

Checked again today, both station 50 halls are empty, MSN9 is still not in final assembly. This suggests one frame being built out of sequence or not being built at all. From the starting point of the A350 programme, Airbus has been claiming they had rather stop and solve problems instead of pushing them forward, so I could imagine that tensions and delays in the supply chain led them to provide a one month break to their suppliers to allow laggards to catch up. The decision would have been made long ago ... I am not sure that this idea makes sense, though !

It is interesting to note that for MSN9 it says section 11/14 which seems to suggest that the cockpit has been joined with the forward fuselage. (The photos also looks as if that is the case although the resolution is too small to be able to confirm this). Image SourceAlso perhaps these photos were taken in Febuary as when I hover my mouse over the photo (in the pdf version) it shows that image was placed in a folder called "03-Feb-ExRM QTR" (or it could simply be a case of the person creating and naming the folder in feb and adding the photo much later on). msn9 by JKKW, on Flickr

Despite the small resolution, you can definitely see the cockpit in the back.
