- MSN 98: Azul - MSN 112: Azul - MSN 124: Azul, to become Hong Kong Airlines - MSN 153: Azul, to become Hong Kong Airlines - MSN 168: Azul, to become Hong Kong Airlines - MSN 187: Azul I didn't know Azul had 6 A350s incoming, thought they only ordered 5? There is one too many in this list (order was to lease five from -then- ILFC) but I have no idea which one. Besides that, HNA Group agreed to take over two, not three, leases.

Confirmation of earlier reports: www.ch-aviation.com/portal/news/54056-brazils-azul-drops-a350-plans"Azul Linhas Aéreas Brasileiras (AD, Campinas Viracopos) has dropped plans to operate the A350-900, the first of which were to have been delivered later this year. Airline President Antonoaldo Neves told Brazilian aviation portal Aeroin last week the LCC no longer needed the type adding that it was now shopping for other options. While he did not specify the mitigating factors behind the decision, it is believed Brazil's prolonged economic difficulties played a significant role. As such, of the five A350s ordered from Airbus (AIB, Toulouse Blagnac), two are destined for equity partner HNA Group - its Hong Kong Airlines (HX, Hong Kong Chek Lap Kok) unit specifically. Of the remaining three, two that were to be delivered this year are now in storage in France."

Azul probably will take delivery of 4 a350-900 next year to start replace of azul a330-200 fleet. I just read a part of the "Play Crazy"-article. AZUL never ordered four A350's from Airbus, they reserved six from AerCap (and never took them).

Simpleflying runs a similar article a week later, simpleflying.com/azul-airbus-a350/Someone is digging deep try to find a story, making living is hard for freelance writers when airlines business is down so much.
