Isn't it weird to go from OF to rework?......

Yeah I am also confused with that too.
I was also trying to work out now the planes are going through from S59-S18 in like 3 months. It does seem after MSN16/17 (where rework is minimal) planes will take 6-7months before first flight from S59? So I was thinking if MSN 29 which is Cathay's 1st frame goes into FAL around beginning of late May/early June. Shouldn't that be flying by late November/early December with a possible delivery beginning of Jan 2016. Which would put the delivery schedule ahead slightly.
Plus it would be a little quicker in FAL compared with current frames?
Its all getting more and more exciting as things speed up. I am starting to plan to try to take the first A350 CI flight from Taipei whenever and wherever it will fly to in 2016.

Maybe it has been asked before but is 'rework' defined as getting the msns up to certification standards?

Maybe it has been asked before but is 'rework' defined as getting the msns up to certification standards? That's certainly at least part of it. Is there more, we just don't know ...

Maybe it has been asked before but is 'rework' defined as getting the msns up to certification standards? I would say it differently... During the testing and while first few pcs are used in real life - some improvements are introduced - rework is application of those improvements. Of course the original state and those improvements are both certified.

Isn't it weird to go from OF to rework?...... I guess it is due to the rework vs cabin installation capacity, and from my understanding rework does not involve the interior (seats, galleys, etc)....maybe except for Qatar's carpets

As I understand the wording typical case of rework is the door modification on A380 - but rework could be anything to "improve" the plane.
