The Wall Street Journal has a story about the merger. For aviation enthusiasts, the most interesting sentence is the following. "The chief executive of AerCap Holdings AER -0.07% NV said Thursday that the newly enlarged aircraft-leasing company expects to buy the upgraded Boeing Co. BA +0.11% 's 777 jet but isn't evaluating a proposed revamp of the rival A330 from Airbus Group". online.wsj.com/news/articles/SB10001424052702304908304579564052655348922Nothing really surprising : they intend to buy 779s (that was to be expected), and they are not evaluating the A330 NEO, an aircraft that is not currently offered.
