Lol I suppose the new two-class cabin need a bit more testing than usual. As I said earlier: I wouldn't be surprised if this version needs a new rubberstamp/certifcate. In aviation all is checked like this. I remember even the door modification required new paperwork.

Do we know the weight specifications of the 2 class version? Without First Class, shower spa and water tanks she should be lighter, although this will be compensated again by the extra Economy seats.

Last time an EK frame reached 8 flight tests was MSN113EK32, 2 years and a half ago back in Spring/2013

Since we had two flights today, I believe it both were customer flights. They discovered minor issue in the first one went back and fixed then retest it. I believe we will see the delivery of this frame very soon, maybe tomorrow? My two cents

Though still, it's supposed to enter service early December, why would they take it already now?.... Maybe that's why it takes so long for the flight tests, as EK officers know they have plenty of time before EIS maybe they are a little pickier for the new configuration?....

Don't they need to do training since it's completely new configuration?

Maybe training indeed.....
Though now today with MSN204's roll out (regular 3-class) / overtaking 2-class MSN202 and MSN203, wouldn't there be any problem with the 2-class configuration?.....
