Pressure tactics on the government?? thousands will be lay-off (even it’s temporary), Imagine how much this will put a pressure, specially in the election year.

Well Boeing said that they won't layoff people (I don't even know if they can on such short notice because of the union), but the suppliers will likely have to layoff people soon.
I wonder if we are all way past a software change, perhaps its a hardware change that is needed as well to get it certified everywhere...
Sure, I'm an Airbus fanboy, but I also want Boeing to succeed. I'm glad when this is all over in a few years. I just hope that Airbus will never sit in that 'comfort zone' that Boeing has been sitting in for a few years, no matter what the success.
