Thanks airny! No updated yet though, 34 airports listed... (MIA) ( stairdancer) Fabien No. 34 will be Mauritius, starting Oct. 16 by EK, followed by Lufthansa's return to MIA, starting Oct. 27 (No. 35 then). Next in line should be Barcelona from 02/2014. Or did I miss another one? BTW, are there any airports besides Montreal which HAD regular A380 service only to have it discontinued (YUL was served by AF for several months in 2011)?

With Brisbane starting to receive A380 regular services today, this is at the moment the 32nd airport worldwide receiving regular A380 services, and 21st A380 destination in the Emirates' network (not counting DXB). Fabien I would count BNE as No. 33 already or am I wrong? There are 7 airports in North America (LAX, SFO, IAH, ATL, IAD, JFK, YYZ), 9 in Europe (MAN, LHR, AMS, CDG, FRA, MUC, ZRH, FCO, DME), 2 in the Middle East (JED, DXB), 10 in Eastern and Southeastern Asia (NRT, ICN, PVG, PEK, KMG, CAN, HKG, BKK, KUL, SIA), 4 in Australia/Oceania (SYD, MEL, BNE, AKL) and 1 in Africa (JNB). And this is not counting MIA, where service is provided by LH only during winter season.

When you look at the link Prod List 1 on the top of every page you'll see msn127 as the 110th A380 delivered. It was flown from the factory and it is ready to be used by the customer. I will update msn121 as DELIVERED when it flies to the customer. It may well be it is paid for and HANDED OVER, but it is NOT delivered. The customer can not use it because it is still in the factory. Just one additional thought about this: Isn't the so-called "delivery flight" performed by the respective airline's pilots? If this is the case, I would assume that the expression "delivery flight" itself is somewhat misleading, because in this case, from the moment the handover occurs, it should be in the airline's control when the "delivery flight" is actually performed. As far as MSN 121 is concerned, I would consider it delivered yesterday (Sept. 19). BA COULD HAVE used it yesterday but decided to "pick it up" via the so-called "delivery flight" today. I even wouldn't consider it having been "in the factory" since then, but just "parked at a foreign airport" (TLS).

If you consider Schwerin a suburb of Hamburg... The distance is only about 100 km. Without this distance, he wouldn't have been able to catch EK60 (HAM-DXB) at almost 9000m altitude.

Quote from Linie9: As you know, no planes are allowed to overfly ships on the river Elbe if they appear in the centerline when approaching runway 23.My question: Do you know under which exact circumstances this rule applies? Is it only for very large ships (like from Min 1:27 in this video) or regardless of the ship's size?

Seems like D-AIMD is on a testflight after wing fix.

Was wondering whether Gatwick would ever see an A380. Looks like they are really ramping up the hours on her with the flight training! Gatwick has seen an A380 at least twice this year already: On March 26th Emirates operated an A380 on flight EK015/016 (they did so before on July 6th 2012). linkAnd on May 26th the UEFA CL Champions in their usual megalomaniac manner used Lufthansa's D-AIMB "München" for their flight back from Gatwick to Munich. BTW they were beaten 4:2 by the very same opponent in the German Supercup this saturday (I'm absolutely aware of the relatively miniscule significance of this win).

Yesterday whilst flying from LHR I saw 6 frames, could not tell you which MSNs but there were: 2 QF 2 SQ 1 EK 1 MH There were probably more hiding around, but that's all I saw whilst taxiing out from T5B to 27L. I think you were pretty lucky to spot those 6 frames because is very probable that you saw EVERY frame which actually was there. If everything goes according to the timetables, there shouldn't be more than those six at LHR at the same time very often. There might be some chance to see two EK frames at the same time in the early afternoon (EK029 is scheduled for a 1330 arrival, 15 minutes before the scheduled departure of EK002) or in the evening (arrival EK005 at 2015 / departure EK004 at 2040). The total number will increase of course when BA takes its first deliveries.

any idea where this unusual flight pattern will eventually lead to? seems like it just leads to where it came from... while drawing some kind of stylish horseriding boot on the fr24 map.
