I am sorry BVB09... For me it was good to see a Dutch player scoring the winning goal (although I would have preferred he had scored on a certain Sunday evening in 2010 in Johannesburg, about 25 meters in front of me... ). this Dutch guy probably deserved it the most among the Bayern players. Obviously, Kloppo’s game plan was to overwhelm the opponent from the start and score an early goal (or two). As the latter didn’t happen, Dortmund couldn’t keep up to the pace for much more than the first 25 minutes. Nonetheless, one can be really proud about the fight they put up against an overwhelmingly endowed opponent. The sizes of the respective aircraft both squads used for their return home ( Bayern vs. Dortmund) kind of illustrates the uneven balance of power between the two clubs which already led to the transfer of one (and possibly two) of our best players for next season. Though as long as Kloppo isn’t lured away, I hope they might be able to rebound from those losses and come back even stronger…

It also makes AKL the second A380 only destination for EK. LHR was the first. According to this: content.emirates.com/downloads/ek/pdfs/timetables/EKM_Worldwide_MAY13.pdfthere are already several other "A380 only destinations": AMS (one daily flight), YYZ (three services per week) and JFK (twice daily). Of course none of them is served as often as LHR (5 daily) or AKL from October.

How many operators bring the 777 to Hamburg? Unfortunately, Emirates is the only operator; at least they do it twice daily.

Can someone tell me, which the Emirates A380 ULR routes are? It depends on the definition of “ULR”. I don't know if there is a specific definition used by Emirates. Some sources on the WWW say “more than 7.500 mi (~12.100km) of non-stop-flight”. But by this definition NONE of the routes cited by seibedom would be ULR (though DXB-SYD comes close). The definition WOULD apply if they start operating the A380 on their routes to LAX, SFO, IAH, DFW or GRU. AFAIK, even among the routes served by other airlines’ A380s, only LAX-MEL would be ULR by this standard (LAX-SYD comes close, too).
