MSN 1124 exited DRS today for painting at MLA. Skyliner says it will be operated by Air Hong Kong but the ferry flight uses "ABR" ASL Ireland callsign. But the operator should be either of the two anyways. We'll have an answer pretty soon I'd assume. ASL has operated two earlier A330F for Air Hong Kong so I'd say likely the same for this one They did before where the EI- registration A330F were operated in Asia out of HKG for Air Hong Kong, but then those were returned to Europe as more newer A330Fs were delivered to Air Hong Kong freeing up the capacity. I think it could be that ASL pilots doing the ferry flight here for paint before handing them over to Air Hong Kong, or this frame is just going to ASL after paint. The first scenario is more likely imo.

Busy day at EFW. 1124 has now exited paint at Malta and as we expected, is going to Air HongKong. We'll see if like before, Air Hongkong will return one of the A330 freighters back to Europe after taking a new delivery. Or if 1124 is strictly for growth. Is all the aircraft delivered in service, or any stored? Yep, all of the delivered the A330P2Fs are in active service except 1124 B-LDT, which is undergoing induction work at HKG after getting delivered earlier this month. To summarize the A330P2F's utilization. Egypt Air's A330-200P2Fs are the busiest doing at least 4 legs a day mostly to European destinations (mostly LHR, CGN and OST) and Asian destinations. The down time to their fleet of 3 is extremely low and they are utilized as true across-the-network movers. DHL's utilization of A330-300P2Fs are the typical express carriers regional fleet utilization model, usually one out-and-back round trip every day, applying both ASL Ireland's fleet and AHK's fleet. Sometimes (especially during peak) they are doing two round trips a day and but that's about it. ASL's fleet also does North American trips to Cincinnati during the weekends to backfill DHL's trans-Atlantic capacity shortage. Although they had to stop in KEF on the way west due to not being ETOPS compatible. Air Hongkong's newer and RR powered fleet is restrained to regional ops only.

ULS Airlines (Turkey) bought A330-300 MSN 349 (ex-Thomas Cook and Sunclass) ahead of conversion, although according to this article a conversion slot at EFW won't be secured until 2022. cargofacts.com/allposts/conversions/uls-acquires-first-a330-ahead-of-conversion/Known slots already sold by EFW in the for-seeable future: - DHL(2) -- The two frames in conversion for DHL 1107 (ex-HongKong Airlines) and 1477 (ex-Hi Fly) will make a total of 8 A330-300P2F for DHL, so that makes it 2 left in DHL's original order of 10. There are 10 (?) more options for DHL as well but I don't think I've heard anything on them being firmed just yet. - CDB Aviation (2) -- Will likely be MSN 958 and MSN 964, ex-China Southern, both are currently parked at CAN after the end of lease. Will enter conversion mid-2021. - Turkmenistan Airlines (2 -200s) -- see a couple posts above, timeline unknown at this point. a380.boards.net/post/161322/thread
