With the price of oil being so low and the knock on affect of the the Metro Jet plane crash in Egypt, I can't see many orders coming during DAS15 ? Yes, agree. And there has been an order bonanza last couple of years off course. With the show being every two years and the fact there have been no really new aircraft launches since the last show there's not much going on ? Airbus could still pull the A380neo out of a very large bag

Yes, agree. And there has been an order bonanza last couple of years off course. Aside from the quiet DAS, I wouldn't say that this year is that quiet! With around 2 months left for the year, Airbus is still grossing 910 orders, 850 net! There's still a chance to turn it into another 1000+ year.

Converting aircraft into firm orders? Strange wording for a professional PR team... That's one of the problems with using Twitter ... You may end up with a blunder !

Great! I know this isn't a Middle East order but still, couldn't someone have found some pens with ink in them to sign this deal to attract attention to Airbus in the Dubai show to counter partly the Boeing Alpha Star737 order (silly things, why go with a narrower cabin?) but otherwise it was almost a wake for all manufacturers.
