I thought the gulf carriers would not need a ULR due to the gulf states position on the globe ? Unless they are planning direct routes that do NOT go thru their own hub airports ? |

Many American destinations are ULH from the Middle East. EK's forthcoming Dubai-Panama City route should for a while be the world's longest commercial route.

I think there should be another term for flights over 15 hours VVVLR or something as Wikipedia says ULH is just over 12 hours, which is nothing any more  Quote from Wiki- Short-haul flight: Under 3 hours Medium-haul flight: 3 to 6 hours Long-haul flight: 6 to 12 hours Ultra long-haul flight: Over 12 hours |

Perhaps wiki should call it ILH, or Insanely Long Haul.
